Strategy and Decision Support (SDS) is UBC’s key strategic partner and provides the University’s leadership with complementary advisory services in strategy, operational effectiveness and financial health.
We objectively and actively listen to our clients and collaborate with them to solve challenges or uncover opportunities.
As internal consultants, we have a solid understanding of UBC’s culture and context, are accountable to our clients and the university, and have an overarching view and awareness of UBC-wide priorities. This knowledge enables us to provide relevant feedback and practical recommendations.
We are able to quickly come on board projects and become immersed in different challenges, as we are already vetted for our capabilities and are not required to go through the procurement qualification process. We have over 50 years of combined knowledge and experience in the areas of finance and accounting, operational effectiveness and management consulting.
The SDS team resides in the Office of the Provost and Vice-President Academic.
